About Us
ZION TELUGU CHURCH is an independent church in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We warmly welcome individuals and families from all walks of life who desire to know, love, and follow the Lord Jesus Christ.
Our fellowship is grounded in Acts 2:42 — devoted to the apostles' teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread, and prayer. Drawing inspiration from the biblical principles exemplified in the ministry of Bro. Bakht Singh, we are committed to faithfully proclaiming the Gospel, living according to God's Word, and nurturing a Christ-centered community of believers.
We preach Jesus Christ — crucified, risen, and coming again — declaring that salvation is found through Him alone. We hold firmly to the authority of the Holy Scriptures, the transforming power of the Holy Spirit, and God's call for His people to live holy lives and serve as faithful witnesses in these last days.
Our mission is to strengthen the Body of Christ through sound, Bible-based teaching, heartfelt worship, earnest prayer, genuine fellowship, and intentional discipleship. We seek to equip every believer to serve the Lord faithfully and to carry the hope of the Gospel both locally and to the ends of the earth.

How It All Began
After 45 days of fasting, prayer, and waiting upon the Lord, God confirmed His call through promises in 1 Chronicles 28:10 ( "Consider now, for the LORD has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be strong, and do it."), I Chronicles 28:20 ( Be strong and of good courage, and do it; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the LORD God—my God—will be with you.) and Haggai 2:4–5 ( …be strong, all you people of the land,' says the LORD, 'and work; for I am with you ) directing us to establish His church in Halifax. With this clear confirmation, we began gathering together at the feet of Lord Jesus, uniting around His Word, His presence, and His purpose for this city.

Our Seniors Ministry honours and cherishes the wisdom, faith, and experience of our elder members. We create a warm, nurturing space where seniors can enjoy meaningful fellowship, receive pastoral care, and continue to grow in their walk with God. Through regular gatherings, prayer support, and community visits, we ensure that every senior feels valued, loved, and deeply connected to the family of Zion Telugu Church.

Church 1st Anniversary
